I think its fair enough to take the first prem game very seriously. If you start to muck about on game one it sets a precedent, gets the media on your back, and could easily snowball.

Second leg is more important then Arsenal
European football at the Boleyn or going into a game trying to sneak a point maybe 3 if Arsenal have an off day. Realistically its not a game you aim to get anything from and will not shape our season much.
Much rather try and see European football during our last season at Upton Park

Completely disagree. I don't want to see us field a weakened side against a better team, especially a rival.
It killed our season doing that against Chelsea last season.
